Graduation is booked for November each year. Each routine requires a costume which the parent/guardian will need to purchase from us, you are also required to purchase stockings and a hair piece. We pride ourselves on purchasing affordable costumes. No item will be purchased without your consent & we work hard to find items that are affordable. All finance accounts must be finalised before performing in the Graduation Performance Concert. We will be holding stage rehearsals at the Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre during Term 4 in the lead up to Graduation. Stage Rehearsals are compulsory for all graduating students.

Alternatively, you can attend classes and choose not to participate in the Graduation performance. Little Movers Learn Through Play is a casual class and do not perform at our Graduation Performance Concert.

Performance Recording

Keeping up with advanced technology we will be continuing to record our performance and distribute copies on USB. USB’s are better quality however, are easy to copy. Due to circum-stances out of our control the USB of the performance Recording is compulsory for students to purchase (one per family). Staying in tune with our family friendly, affordable studio, we would like to offer some sort of fundraising throughout the year to help cover this cost. If you are interested in being apart of our fundraising team for this year, please let us know. The cost for the Performance Recording on a USB is approximately $65.00 DISW does hold a credit booklet if students would like to pay additional funds each term to accumulate over time and use at the end of the year for incoming invoices.

Our school colours are Black, Purple and White. Our uniforms are not compulsory however, come highly recommended as it gives the student a sense of self-pride and belonging. It also helps in classes where appropriate clothing need to be worn as a safety precaution ***Please keep hair tied up and neat*** Ballet students are required to wear a leotard to help the teacher follow body alignment for ballet positions. Acrobatic students please do not wear a dress, skirt or oversized shirt as it becomes a safety hazard during tumbling. Although uniforms are not compulsory, appropriate clothing must be worn during lessons to en-sure safety to our students & teachers. Please no denim items to be worn during any of our classes.

The competitive students are reminded that competition classes are hard work. Dancers require dedication, a passion for dance, a drive for self-improvement and take on corrections provided from teachers in a positive manner. Our studio prides itself on a friendly, low stress environment, however if the student decides on taking part in the Competitive Team, students are expected to push themselves to their limit and work tirelessly to achieve an expected level of standard. Competition work takes a step away from our regular classes and works in a much stricter environment. We stress that competition work is not for all students. If you feel like competition work is for you, please speak to our principal to discuss an additional training timetable and additional fee structure required to participate. Please Note: It is not guaranteed that students will be ready to perform for any upcoming events, Competing will be offered on a readiness bases.
